1. Who we are
Jessi AI ("Jessi") is made by Quantum Forge Robotics ("Quantum Forge Robotics", "we", "us"). This policy covers the Jessi mobile app, its desktop and browser companions, and this website (together, the "Services").
2. What stays on your device
Jessi's core assistant runs on your phone. The following is processed and stored locally on your device and is not sent to us:
- Everyday chat and voice conversations, including the audio of calls with Jessi
- Conversation history and sessions
- What Jessi learns about you: your preferences, memory and personalization
- Your vault, for example details you save for filling in forms
- Feedback you give inside the app, such as thumbs-up, thumbs-down and corrections. This stays local and is never shared automatically.
Because this information stays on your device, you control it. Deleting it from the app, clearing the app's data or uninstalling Jessi removes it. We can't recover it for you, and we can't hand it to anyone else, because we don't have it.
Sync between your devices
If you link your phone with Jessi's desktop or browser companions, our cloud acts as a secure router, not a storage location. Your data passes through encrypted connections to reach your other devices and is not kept on our servers. We may process limited routing information, such as device identifiers and connection metadata, to make the connection work.
3. Information we collect
| Category | What it includes | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Account | Your email address, any name you provide, and sign-in credentials (passwords are stored only in hashed form) or sign-in links. | To create and secure your account and let you sign in. |
| Payments | Payments are processed by Stripe. We receive limited details such as your name, email, billing country, the last four digits of your card, and your purchase or subscription status. We never receive or store your full card number. | To process purchases and subscriptions, prevent fraud, and keep required records. |
| Communications | What you send us through the contact form or by email (your name, email address and message), and beta sign-up details. | To respond to you and manage the beta. |
| Technical | Limited information needed to deliver updates and route sync, such as IP address, app version, device type and operating system. | To deliver updates, keep the Services working and secure, and prevent abuse. |
| Website | Standard server logs kept by our hosting provider, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. | To serve the site, keep it secure and fix problems. |
This website loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers and Google receives your IP address. See Google's privacy policy.
4. Online features
Some features need the internet and only connect when you open or use them:
- News feed and sources. Jessi fetches articles and information cards, and opening a source loads that website in the in-app browser. Those websites receive the standard information browsers send, under their own privacy policies.
- Weather. Forecasts come from the U.S. National Weather Service. To get a forecast, the location you choose is sent to the National Weather Service.
- Connected services. If you connect a service such as email, a calendar or a CRM (including through MCP integrations), Jessi exchanges data with that service only as you authorize. That service's own terms and privacy policy apply to the data it holds.
- Glasses. If you pair compatible smart glasses, such as Meta glasses, the camera and microphone input goes to Jessi on your phone. The glasses and their companion apps are governed by their maker's terms and privacy policy.
5. How we use information
- To provide, maintain and improve the Services, including accounts, updates and device sync
- To process payments and manage subscriptions
- To send service emails, such as beta invitations, receipts, security alerts and important changes
- To send product news, but only if you've agreed to receive it. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
- To respond to your messages and support requests
- To protect the Services and our users, for example by preventing fraud, spam and abuse
- To comply with the law and enforce our Terms of Service
6. AI training
Jessi is trained on approved, sanitized material. We do not use your personal data, your conversations, your voice or anything Jessi learns about you to train AI models. What she learns about you stays on your device to personalize your own experience.
7. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral (targeted) advertising. We share information only:
- With service providers who process it for us under contract. These include Stripe (payments), SendGrid by Twilio (email delivery) and Railway (website and server hosting).
- With services you connect, at your direction (see section 4).
- For legal reasons, when we believe in good faith that the law requires it, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our users, the public or us.
- In a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. This policy, or one at least as protective, will continue to apply to your information.
8. How long we keep it
- Account information: for as long as your account is active. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete or de-identify this information within 30 days, except where we must keep it longer.
- Payment records: for as long as tax, accounting and other laws require.
- Messages to us: for as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable period afterwards, in case of follow-up.
- Server logs: for a limited period, for security and troubleshooting.
- On-device data: until you delete it. We never have a copy.
9. Your choices and rights
On your device: you can view, correct and delete your history, memory and vault in the app, or remove everything by clearing the app's data or uninstalling it.
Your account: you can ask us to access, correct, export or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing [email protected] or using our contact form. We'll verify your request, usually by confirming it from the email address on your account, and respond within the time the law requires, generally 45 days.
Emails: you can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in the email. You'll still receive essential service emails while you have an account.
U.S. state privacy rights
Depending on where you live, including Texas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and other states with privacy laws, you may have the right to know, access, correct and delete your personal information, and to get a copy of it in a portable format. You may also have the right to opt out of the sale of personal information, targeted advertising and certain profiling. We don't sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. We won't treat you differently for exercising your rights. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows. If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision or emailing [email protected] with "Appeal" in the subject line. If you aren't satisfied with the outcome, you may contact your state attorney general.
EEA, UK and Swiss users
Where the GDPR or a similar law applies, we process your information to perform our contract with you (accounts, payments, sync), on the basis of our legitimate interests (security, preventing abuse, improving the Services), to comply with legal obligations, and with your consent where required (for example, marketing emails). You have the rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object to processing, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
10. Security
Keeping your data on your device is our first line of defense: information that never leaves your phone can't be exposed in a data-center breach. For the information we do handle, we use encryption in transit, access controls and reputable service providers. No system is perfectly secure, so please protect your device with a passcode and keep your sign-in details private.
11. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Teens aged 13 to 17 may use Jessi only with a parent's or guardian's permission. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
12. International users
We're based in the United States, and the information we handle is processed in the United States and other places where our service providers operate. Where the law requires it, we use appropriate safeguards for these transfers, such as standard contractual clauses.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Jessi grows, for example when beta features launch. We'll change the "last updated" date above. For significant changes we'll also notify you in the app or by email before they take effect.
